Portfolio Heart Exhibit Display
I designed the heart to be anatomically correct, since it was going to be used in a heart exhibit at the Children's Museum in Hartford, CT. After researching the blood vessels, arteries and fat placement, I chose fabric colors to resemble each area of the human heart. I made an armature around the 1 inch clear lucite rod, that would be used to rotate the heart, after installation. The overall size was 20 inches high and about 18 inches across. I used my sewing machine for certain work, but most of this piece was completed with the heart sitting on my lap.
